Sometimes a bathroom just needs fresh color to wake it up. We recently painted a bathroom vanity that was looking tired and worn out, and assisted the customer in their wallpaper installation. It resulted in an amazing transformation for our client!
As you can see from the before and after images, we repainted the vanity itself with the customer’s chosen color: Farrow & Ball Pointing, a white shade.

To accomplish this job, we do our usual process of stripping the vanity, setting drawer fronts and the hardware (hinges, handles, etc.) aside, numbered for their faithful return. This process ensures that everything returns to its original position and nothing winds up with an odd, crooked fit.
We then masked away all areas we weren’t painting to prevent any accidents or spills. With drop cloths and paper masking in place, we were able to begin work on the vanity. We patch any nail holes or damaged areas to make sure everything is level and nice. Once all patching is done, we sand the surfaces with 220 grit sandpaper and vacuum, until everything is neat, clean, and ready to begin. Then we paint with the Pointing color. Once we’re done, we sand again, then apply the second coat.
Finally, we put the fixtures and parts back together, and we prepped and primed the walls for the customer to add a Farrow & Ball wallpaper they’d selected.
